Highlander 2.4L V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 192,000 miles

Noticed something leaking for bottom of my car. A few days later car got extremely hot, luckily had just arrived home when I noticed. Coolant reservoir was completely empty. I put the two together and figured I'd been leaking coolant. After reading all the issues about engine bolts being stripped, I am nervous about trying to replace the water pump.

Highlander 4 Cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 155,000 miles

This is the second time the water pump has failed. Once at 155 thousand miles and once at 77 thousand miles. So the pumps only last about 77- 78 thousand miles. Cost for first pump was 327. Not sure what second one will cost.
