Toyota knows that the anti-skid computer goes bad, and is ignoring it. They are happy to gouge you $2000 plus installation for a computer that they made defective.

The car becomes dangerous to drive. Whenever you stop, and decide to go, the anti skid activates and takes away your power. Forget that you are sitting in the middle of an intersection and are at risk. You have to immediately get off the throttle, and back on gently. Many times it activates again and again. This is on level dry ground in summer! I temporarily bypass it (pull the fuse, start, turn off, reinstall fuse). Vehicle runs and drives fine then. After three start cycles, it is back on and starts to try and kill you again. It does this issue constatly. Had many people plug in scan tools and drive it for days. Dealer and others all say it is the computer, not a sensor.

This is my elderly mother's car. We (the "kids") will chip in and get it fixed as she is on a limited income, but then we are selling is asap and getting something else. We have had a lot (a LOT) of Toyotas over the years (decades of them), but no more. They will not stand by their mistakes anymore.
