"sun visor failure!" - driver's side. Just another to add to the numerous other concerned families. No help through Toyota main safety number at 1-800-331-4331case #1604262701. Verified with the representative that I am not the first to report this problem. While there is a recall on 2010-2013 Highlanders, all prior have been left out. As of the time of this complaint, a large air bag recall, among many manufacturers, is taking place. Which is more dangerous: The remote possibility of an air bag deployment? (or) driver's loss of vision in heavy traffic due to a faulty sun visor, which may cause an air bag deployment? there are hundreds of complaints found online across all models. I also found that many of the complaints on this site were regarding "sun visor failure." In my opinion, someone maybe "asleep at the wheel. Toyota you're better than this.

Starting in October of 2015 and continuing to this day, the sun visor on the driver's side refuses to stay in the fully upright/tucked to the headliner position presenting a visibility problem when the car is in motion. When turning left, it gets dramatically worse and completely blocks my view, requiring me to remove my left hand from the wheel to lift the visor out of the way and complete the turn one handed. This is situation is unsafe on a multitude of levels and needs to be addressed by Toyota.

The passenger side sun visor dropped from the up or stored position to the down position while making a turn, partially and unexpectedly obstructing the driver's view. The visor now will not stay in the stored position.the driver's side visor is beginning to show signs of the same failure.

Faulty 2007 Toyota Highlander sun visor. My driver side sun visor has fallen down, and wont tighten. The sun visor is too heavy for the rod it is suspended from. Currently, the visor has fallen in front of my line of vision which obstructs my view while driving. My wife as well as my young teen daughter has also complained and also states someday it may make them crash due to no visibility when it happens. This is definitely a safety hazard. There are numerous complaints that have been posted concerning Toyota defective sun visors on 2007 Highlanders. How many more comments are needed before Toyota will issue a safety recall on these sun visors? I hope it will be sooner rather than later, and before there is a tragic accident.
