The contact owns a 2008 Toyota Highlander hybrid. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact merged to the shoulder of the road and power off and the vehicle failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The technician stated that the inverter needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure and current mileage was 124,000.
