Door open sensor for the rear hatch keeps coming on. Which activates the interior lights and warning bells.
Dealer said it was a known problem and simple cleaning would fix it for charge of $60. This worked for about a month and started right back up again

The rear door sensor goes off when I brake hard or open one of the front windows while going down the road. Also the noise level inside the car is very loud.

The rear door sensor indicates that the rear door is open when it is not. This causes the bell to ding a lot, really, a lot. It also forced us to turn off the interior lights because they would blink on/off when this happened. We are also at time not able to lock the door using the key fab but need to lock with lock on door. This is a real pain in the rear (not just the rear door). This is not the first issue with the vehicle. The front driver's door window keeps coming off track or causing other issues like not being able to lock the door. The starter also went bad at just over 40,000 miles and 6 months after warrant expired. We tried to get Toyota to pay for the fix, but they would not. I will never purchase another Toyota again!

If I drive with the window down, my car alerts me that a door is open by making a loud beeping noise over and over again and flashing all of the indoor lights. I spoke with Toyota about it and they said that the latch was not put on evenly. They said I would have to pay them $70 to fix it. I refuse to pay for something they did not put on correctly. So we turn the music up, turn off the lights in the car and suffer through it. Extremely disappointed in how poorly this Toyota was made. I would never ever buy another Toyota or recommended Toyota to anybody I care
