My 2019 Highlander never had an issue, I kept up with all maintenance. It started sputtering when its idle at a stop light. After a few times of this happening, my check engine light came on. Took it to the dealer and was told that the entire engine needed to be replaced. It was a cylinder misfire. I was also told they have seen this before but it was not covered under the recall with the Tundras but it was having the same issue. I had to trade it in for a new car.

Fuel pump replaced via recall. 2019 Highlander XLE 19,700 miles. Rough idle, check engine light, AWD warning message. No solution at this time.
