When I push the break down, the car not slow down but unexpected accelerate. It happens randomly.
I went to the Toyota website and saw the article "Floor mats Lead to Dangerous and Unexpected Acceleration". We do not use a floor mat but the car does unrespect accelerations.

After a driver of a van rear ended this Highlander Hybrid, the repair shop reset the ABS, but did no repairs to it.
The braking was fine under normal driving conditions, however when stopping suddenly, the brakes would no longer grab, instead the car seemed to speed up! Within a week, I needed the brakes and they again were not responding but surging. With no way to escape on a road under construction with bumper to bumper traffic, I hit the brakes hard and the surge happened and I hit the car in front of me. I went back to the place that had repaired the damage and complained to know avail. They just reset the ABS codes and said there was no issue.
Then 3 weeks later another rear end collision occured in I-4 rush hour traffic...again no escape and no brakes! I notified the car repair place Service King about the issue and they refused to do anything again saying nothing was out of the ordinary and they would not look at it again. I took it to the Toyota dealership and they said they could not duplicate the problem. When an unaware driver crashed into me three weeks later, I noticed the surge when I tried to stop short but could not avoid her. Auto Nation repaired the car, saw that the ABS codes had been reset and did some major trouble shooting to repair the ABS. I think with the Hybrid it's more complex than other cars.
