ANYTIME THE WHEELS SLIP DURING A SNOW AND/OR ICE EVENT, THE ENTIRE HYBRID/ENGINE SYSTEM SHUTS DOWN RENDERING STEERING AND ANTI-LOCK BRAKES USELESS. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED BY TOYOTA.

So Toyota Designed the Hybrid Highlander 2008! The car just stopped in the middle of driving on the highway! The car warns you about everything, ABS light, tire pressure, roof, seat belt, gas low, oil maintenance but did not warn you when the engine just decides to stop in the middle of the road because of faulty inverter?? This is really really dangerous and terrible. I feel that I can't be the only one with this problem. My dealership said it will cost me $11,000 (yes, eleven thousand dollars) to have it repaired! I called the Toyota Home Office and all they can tell me is that is that its not on the recall list (who set the list anyway?), and that there's nothing they will do to help even though its a design flaw. So, anyone with a suggestion? Thanks in advance!
