Re: cracked exhaust manifold on 2000 Toyota Land cruiser my vehicle developed a crack in the exhaust manifold. It only has 43,000 miles. I believe this may be more widespread. A friend had a 2000 Tundra with the same 4.7 liter engine, and his has developed the same condition. A internet search has revealed other references to this issue. I wanted to log my complaint so it could be counted. Could NHTSA ask Toyota for a incident report on the failure rate of the 4.7 liter engine? thank you
