I received notification of a recall several months ago. The letter stated that I should submit a complaint to the NHTSA if I felt that Toyota had not remedied the defect within a reasonable time, which is the reason for this complaint. I have asked my local Toyota dealer when this will be repaired and have only been told that I will get another notice when parts are available. It is extremely inconvenient to have passengers ride in the back seat all the time since Toyota has advised against allowing passengers in the front passenger seat. This is far too long to wait for resolution of this problem.

My complaint is that it is taking a very long time for Toyota to provide the parts to replace the front seat passenger air bags in my vehicle. The air bag was recalled in June; it's now nearly November. Not only have they not provided parts, they have not even given a time frame for when parts might be available. When I am not simply going to work alone, I need to be able to put other family members in the back seat and in the front passenger seat. At this time, the only solution provided by Toyota is, "don't allow passenger to sit in the front passenger seat". and they are sorry for the inconvenience. How long must I wait to be able to use my car the way it was intended when I purchased it??

I receivd an interim recall notice in June 2015 for the passenger airbag. As of Oct 19, 2015 the parts to replace or fix the recall problem are not available, and Toyota cannot tell me when the parts will be available. I find this to be an extremely unreasonable amount of time, considering it is a safety recall and the notification letter for this recall recommended that the passenger seat remain empty until the problem is fixed.

I received a recall notice from Toyota about the front passenger airbag in my car, as you know. It has now been four months since the recall and there is no word from Toyota about replacing the airbag. They have advised me not to have a passenger in the front seat until the airbag is replaced. It's ridiculous to go four months without being able to have a passenger. They need to speed this up. They aren't providing me what I purchased--which is a car that I can safely have a passenger in.

Called dealer to ask about recall, they said they would order parts and to bring car in a week later. Called today and they said they don't have the parts yet. Please advise when this recall will be fixed as it is dangerous and not acceptable to not allow passengers in the car.
