The problem is that the radio simply is NOT switching to AUX input, from the front panel or from the steering wheel mode button. The CD player works fine, my XM radio that I want to play through the AUX input in the center console input jack, as I have since I bought the car and installed my XM radio, plays fine to headphones. I have removed and reinserted the audio cable at BOTH ends repeatedly as one person suggested. I don't see personally how any rear connection to the radio would affect an INTERNAL switching problem ? Someone on another site was trying to mention if there were no audio signal it would not switch. I find that highly implausible as switching should occur signal or not in any decently designed radio. That is like switching a train track. The track should switch - train or not.
