We drove the car from Wisconsin to Texas for Thanksgiving with no problems. While in Texas the head gasket blew, and the car began to misfire. We got the car back to Wisconsin, but the repair cost was $4,000 plus with provision that the engine block might have to be fixed for more money. That price was beyond our ability to pay, so we put in the gunk to fix the head gasket temporarily. It worked, but the engine threw a rod a week later. It was our only car, so we had no choice but to try to drive it with the head gasket repair stuff.
