This first time that the Traction Battery hold down brackets broke part #G926g47010 and part #G926F-47010 we did not know the severity of the issue. We had reported a rattle quite a few times but it took a few tries for the mechanic to figure out what the problem was. Toyota sent engineers out to look at the road we drove on and examine the problem. They covered it and now I find out that even though the car had 21k miles on it, they state they repaired it out of good will. Good for you Toyota, the "unbreakable part" as described by your engineers broke. We have to drive on dirt roads for roughly 1 mile to get to our house. Evidently you can't expect the Toyota Prius PLUG IN to stand up to dirt roads. We also have a 2012 Prius with 120k miles driven on the same road with no problems of the battery brackets breaking. This seems like an engineering issue if it happens on the plugin but not the regular Prius. Again, they fixed the problem but they did not tell us that we shouldn't be driving on dirt roads. Buyer Beware!!!
