Prius Plug-in

Bumper to bumper traffic going slow stop & go. Brakes failed 100% I had to use emergency brake which locked up but I was going slow and had no accident. Then the brakes worked. I took it in to local dealer they could find nothing. It is a lease and Toyota will not admit to any problems, so for now, I'm stuck with this junk in my driveway till the lease is up. I will not drive it again it will be towed to Toyota at end of lease in 11 mo.

Toyota says it's my problem and will take no action. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. They are great if you are spending money but complaints will go on deaf ears. BUYER beware your life is in Danger if you drive a Prius. Most people on this forum got in bad accidents. The last phone call with the supervisor, she said " It's your lease" "Can't help you because there is no problem" My foot knows the brakes failed I trust my foot not the Toyota Robot cult like organization. brakes are electronic THERE IS NO DIRECT MECHANICAL CONNECTION BETWEEN THE PEDAL AND THE brake pads. You push the brake pedal the computer tells a solenoid to engage the pad. Older cars have a hydraulic mechanical connection all the way from your foot to the brake pads and if they fail the front is separate from the back so you'll always have at least the front or the rear brakes.

BUYER BEWARE TOYOTA DOESN'T CARE!
