Prius v

  • Automatic transmission
  • 84,000 miles

Driver's side door lock started to not respond to the key fob. Replaced batteries in key fob which had no affect. Problem got worse until lock would not work with key fob or with door switch. Took to local Toyota dealer and was told that it cost $681 to fix. Was told door actuator part was $381. $300 labor. Car is no longer under warranty as it is 4 years old and has 84,000 miles on it. seems ridiculous for a door lock.
