I received a "Voluntary Customer Support Program" notice in the mail regarding the brake booster pump assembly. I called the dealer that day and they told me it was nothing to worry about and to put it in my owners manual.
Several months later, the brakes failed while I was driving. I had the car towed in to the dealership. It has now been almost 2 months. They don't have the part to fix it and they have no idea when the part will come in. At first they didn't give me a loaner but I complained to Toyota and they gave me a big SUV, which I am not used to driving. I do appreciate having the loaner car, but it's really big and I was involved in an accident several days ago. I am also not allowed to take it out of state and I had planned on doing a road trip. They are trying to get a rental car from Enterprise, but none are available now. I would really just like to get my car back, fixed. They are very sorry but have no estimated date of when the part is coming in.
