The contact owns a 2014 Toyota Prius V. the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the horn functioned intermittently. A dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the spiral cable assembly and clockspring needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 8,000.
