While traveling in Phoenix Arizona last summer we discovered that when utilizing the navigation system it would not respond to touch input and stopped providing instructions to complete the route selected. It was hot during our stay and average temp was about 110 degrees and up. We also noticed that after stopping for lunch we returned to the vehicle and notice that the exterior temp reading was way off. Even though it was 110 degrees outside, it was showing only 83 degrees. We thought that was really strange. We observed that we were not parked in the shade and that in fact were facing south with full exposure to the sun. Toyota dealer attempted to reproduce this but failed. Note that the day they did attempt was a mild day and never reached over 92 degrees. During repeated trips back to Phoenix that summer we experience the same issues when it was over 105 degrees. Once the heat drops it worked but not during the heat of the day.
