I bought a car on august 2009 RAV 4 V6 limited. leather seat. first it's smell new like leather. until 2011 august 31 smell like rotten egg. Change cabin air filter on september 2011. in Wondries Toyota dealer still smell like rotten egg. Bring the car back to the dealer where we bought at Power Toyota. they said they are not warrantee for the smell. we complaint to them they said first 1500 to tear down the car to find where the death animals are. I said "Are you serious there are death animals in my car". that's really scare me when he said that death animal.
Well, some how I need to fix the car but I don't want to pay that amount $1500.00. then, they advise me to call our insurance to claim for the damage. So we did, now my car are fixing in Toyota Power with the bill is $5382 USD. We have to pay $500.00 deductible. After the torn down the car, there are no death animals, they blame for the carpets, but we don't have little kids or pets; then they said the smell come from underneath the carbet. I'm more cofused, why they torn down the whole car, and now just replace the carbet and headliners. oh I forgot, first, they quote my insurance up to 13,000.00 usd. the fixing include the leather seats. But my insurance rejected to replace the car seats.
overall, I'm very unhappy buying this RAV4 limited. customers service is very bad, they only care how to make money. they are not care for customers safety of the smell that keep your hand busy cover your noses whoever drive or passengers seat in the car. I'm also complain to Toyota customers experience care. customers care are also not doing nothing about it, they only give me the case number that's all. I believe this is my last car with Toyota. That's a very bad experience.
