The contact owns a 2010 Toyota rav-4. the contact stated that after purchasing a vehicle that came equipped with a tow package, he decided to have the trailer hitch attached at the dealer. Prior to having the electrical harness and switch module installed, the corporate office advised his dealer not to perform the work due to a known defect that they have discovered. The dealer continued to do the work. The type of defect had not been disclosed and the contact had not experienced any failures. The current mileage on the vehicle was 13,000.
