Yesterday I noticed that paint was peeling on the panel between the moonroof and the front windshield. When I took it to the bodyshop this morning, the mechanic showed me where the paint was bubbling up.
I call the local Toyota dealer about a possible recall because of the paint and was told NO and also that there HAD NEVER BEEN ANY COMPLAINTS about the paint.
Surely, I am not the ONLY owner of a 2010 RAV4 with a bubbling paint job!
I have emailed Toyota Motor Company but after reading comments online, I am not very hopeful of any help from them. Guess it is back to buying American!

The second or third time I washed the vehicle I noticed a couple of paint chips on the bumper. A few months later it grew to 6 or 7 on the bumper and a few in other spots in the metal (Fender, roof, hood,). Currently there is less the 20,000 km on the vehicle and it has as many chips as my 2000 Camry. Obviously inferior paint and I paid extra for the colour, they said it was a premium paint. I went to the dealer in the fall and they took pictures and said they would get back to me, that was approx 6 mos ago and I'm still waiting. I will be visiting them tomorrow and I have a forum I found on the internet with a whole lot of complaints about the paint. Hope they don't tell me it's because the front is square, like the last time. I'm not impressed with the quality of the finish and I hope they plan to do something to compensate me or fix the problem.

Almost since I bought this car the paint has bubbled up and peeled between the moon roof and front windshield. I am also surprised there have never been complaints about this issues with 2010 RAV 4s. This year is the worst and the hole is 9x9 inches and chipping more and more every day. Toyota should make this issue right. I have also emailed Toyota Motor Company.
