I bought a Toyota for its reliability. So far there have been 11 recalls on this damn car. Every time I take it in to get the recall fixed they suggest other things I should have done while I'm there as well. So, not only do I have to take at least a half day off from work and use precious vacation time, even though the recall is a free repair, the technicians "find" other things I should have done "as long as I'm there. I'm not well versed on cars and they have a way of scaring me so I often cave in and get the recommended repairs done. This car has cost me a lot of money in the recall repairs alone (yes, I know it's my fault but I don't know if what they're telling me is the truth. They say that since the car is already up on the lift it will save me money because if I have to come back in for the new problem it will cost $120 just to put it on the lift for diagnosis. What a scam.
I'm really oissed about the wheel bearing. I spoke with several experts I was hooked up with through my insurance and they all said a wheel bearing should last the lifetime of the car unless it was improperly made. There are a LOT of complaints about this when I googled "2010 RAV4 wheel bearing".
I contacted Toyota a week ago to file a complaint and have yet to hear back from them. I call them every few days to check on the status and just get the run around. I will continue to bother them until they agree to pay a large portion--if not all--of the repair costs.

Rear left axel bearing is very loud, replaced. I drove 7000 km and it began aloud at the beginning of the trip, very annoying.
