The plastic piece that keeps dirt out at the bottom of the shift lever jammed up. It is really cheaply made and once it jams up you can't shift the car. When I first went to Toyota they said I had to buy a 350 dollar part as the plastic is not sold separately. 2 months later and they now sell it at 40 dollars. I guess more of them are breaking. This could be a pretty big safety issue if you had a sticky throttle and couldn't shift to neutral.
