I just purchased this 2014 RAV4 three weeks ago. While vacuuming the vehicle for the first time I noticed multiple threads sticking out on the bolster and bottom cushion of the driver and passenger seats in the area where the seats are sewed together. This is no doubt caused from rubbing as you enter and exit the vehicle. We are very careful with our vehicles so this was not caused by abuse. The material the seats are made from is inferior in quality, possibly cotton, and is not going to wear well. I just traded a 2002 4Runner with 174,000 miles and the seats showed no signs of wear.
This is totally unacceptable. I would not recommend buying a RAV4 for this reason alone.
