This has happened various times. Had the dealer check brakes was told they were fine.It continues to happen more and more. On Saturday July 23 it was the mos scariest episode of all. I put on the brake and the car keeps moving, with a jerk like forward movement. Didn't stop until I pushed the brake really hard. I again make an appointment to have it checked and the service manager tells me that it is not physically possible for any car to do what I told him. He refused to have it checked. I will contact Toyota about this issue I have heard of people who have had this issue and have had accidents because of it.

I believe the vehicle accelerated when my foot was on the brake. I initially thought I had been hit from behind.
The vehicle was made in May 2016. I know there have been several recalls already. I have to drive this vehicle for work, and I no longer have full confidence with it.

I attempted to stop (in stop and go traffic) when the cars in front of me braked, when i applied the brakes my car started to go faster so i swerved to the curb lane. I went completely past the car I was trying to stop behind before the car finally stopped moving. This all happened at about 20 - 25 kilometers per hr. It felt like i was sliding on ice but the road was bare and dry. The anti lock never kicked until the last 5 or 10 feet of travel. Thankful I wasn't going faster and that I was in the curb lane or we would have been in an accident for sure. Very scary. The car has been back to the dealer and all the data collected has been sent to Toyota Canada. I have had other times when i wondered if the car was gonna stop but this was by far the worst.
