My 2017 Rav4 has issues with cold temperatures. The transmission appears to slip horribly when cold, -20 C and below. Slips to the point the Rav4 will not move when the transmission is put into Drive or Reverse until it heats up for approx 10 minutes. First car I have owned that has ever had this issue. Dealer was of no help. Had them check it and report back that no issues were found. No codes present and they said the transmission fluid level was fine. I was the only Rav4 coming in with a transmission issue in that cold spell so certainly something was not right. Don't really trust the vehicle now. Is this a sign of future transmission issues? I don't know but I am not willing to find out. Not really all that impressed with "Toyota Quality"!

My Rav4 jerks back while driving as if the Automatic transmission is not doing its job to pick up speed. Rather it falls back couple miles in between shifting gears.

I've had this problem since almost the beginning. Been to the dealer several times, but they blame it on cold mornings. Even though it's 70.
