This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Toyota dealer.
Took vehicle back to the dealer twice. The first time they said it needed a software update which they did. The next day, the problem occurred again. Took the vehicle back to the dealer only to have them tell me to unpair my phone with the car to see if it is a software problem or a problem with the radio system. I unpaired the phone and over the next two days, the radio cut off, screen went black then the radio came back on, and after a few minutes the screen came back on.
This happens several times a day but at random times and I cannot predict when it will happen. I will have to take it back to the dealer AGAIN to have the radio replaced. This shouldn’t be happening on a brand new 2019 vehicle. I bought this model because they said I could use my iPhone for the navigation using Apple Care. Then when this happened they said that I may not be able to use my phone at all with the car because of a software issue. Super annoying. Plus my dealer is a 30 minute drive each time. Here’s hoping that they can fix the problem.

Radio blacked out completely for about 2 hours. When it came back on, I had a hard time changing channels and adjusting sound. After awhile my phone reconnected, but only partially. Does not know commands and GPS was also not responding most of the time. Took in to dealer for replacement and they saw everything was working okay until they drove it back out to me, and then it blacked out again. I have been waiting 2 months for a replacement.
