RAV4 Hybrid LE 2.5L I4

  • CVT transmission
  • 7,000 miles

When I first bought the car, I turned into a parking spot and I heard a pop like stress or a bind on metal. Sounds exactly like bearings or CV axle. I let it fly but it got worse. Now it makes the noise all the time when I do a full left steering wheel lock like during a left U turn. The dealership heard it and said it was my airbag clockspring. They changed it but it's still there. They have had it for 2 days and now told me its my steering column. I'm 100% sure, it won't be and they will replace my steering rack next. Why not change the cv axle or bearing since it's the cheaper route. They told me its a rare situation but Toyota has seen it before, or so I'm told.
