Takata recall we have owned our sequioa since 12/13/2001, we bought it brand new. When we 1st bought it the airbag light came on immediately and bill dube of dover nh replaced something and fixed it. I have had many complaints with my vehicle and returned to the dealership many times thru out the years. I have had multiple issues with vsc traction control starting in 2002 lights would come on and go out, air bag light comes on when there is high humidity and when using air conditioning, my alloy wheels have been disgusting since 2004. I have a extensive repair history with bill dube dealership they never addressed issues as once lights on dash turn off there is no history. In 2006 my lights on dash came on I brought it to Toyota of portsmouth nh as I was almost at 100000. Miles. They could not look at vehicle due to warranty. I drove to bill dube and they refused to see me that day or document that lights were on so they could fix it. Once my odometer hit 100000 warranty was null and void. I was extremely upset called multiple times to Toyota corporation and appeared to get same jerk who refused to help and gave me the run around. We have owned our sequioa for 18 1/2 years. I love my car it has approx 445000 miles and would appreciate assistance. My vsc is constantly on now along with the ABS light. The air bag only comes on when there is high humidity and I am driving. When we bought the sequioa the salesman actually stated the sequioa had a hard drive to retain light history. I also have been concerned with my frame which was replaced in 2012. I have return to portsmouth Toyota where work was down a few times. My vehicle appears crooked and not aligned they think I am crazy. I practically live in my vehicle I work in hospice so I am very aware of my vehicles look and condition. I would appreciate your assistance with my vehicle, I would like make it to 500000.

I have been recieving request of serious air bag defaults and to not drive my vehicle until it is fixed. It is my only vehicle. North Georgia Toyota in dalton, ga has told me I am currently going to be on a waiting list. I asked how long, they rudely responded with " no idea, a month, two months, maybe longer. If we don't have the airbag we can't fix it." I said that it appeared to be a very serious issue and life-threatening incidents have occurred. They replied, "give you a call when we get to your spot on the waiting list and have part."

Takata recall. I received 2 recall notices within the last year about air bag inflators. I took my car to a local Toyota twice but without any parts being replaced. The most recent notice I got is still about airbag inflator. In the letter, it says the inflator on my car needs to be replaced regardless of the inspection results. Well I took my car to a local Toyota dealership, they inspected it and told me my car is fine, and no replacement is necessary. Please confirm if my car is affected with the takata airbag recall, thanks.

I received a safety recall notice from Toyota which told me I must have the airbag inflator module replaced. Called the glendora, ca. Toyota dealer to make an appointment. He called me back to say he got the part in. I took the car in, left the car for 7 hours only to be told that my car didn't need the module. The letter said that I must replace the module and recommended that I do not operate the vehicle with occupants in the front passenger seat until the remedy is performed. What do I do? my car is not safe! please help me.

I have not had an "incident". the passenger airbag will be replaced on 7/21/2015. My question is: Are all the other airbags (drivers side main airbag, all the side airbags) in this vehicle safe" if they are safe why are they safe in comparison to the passenger airbag? or are there potential problems"

I received a safety recall notice to inspect the front passenger airbag inflator module back in 2013. Upon taking the above vehicle to the simi valley Toyota dealer for this inspection, the manager informed me that they did not have to inspect my airbag inflator module. In 2014 I received another safety recall notice to inform me that this front passenger airbag inflator module now needed to be replaced, but they did not have the parts to do so. The Toyota corporation stated they would inform me when the parts were available. In 2015 I received another safety recall notice to inform me that they had the parts and that I could go to any Toyota dealer to have this replacement done. On June 18, 2015, I contacted the simi valley Toyota dealership to set up an appointment to comply with the safety recall notice. I was advised that they would not have that part in until Friday, June 26, 2015. I made an appointment for June 26, 2015 and dropped my car off to have the airbag inflator module replaced. Six hours later, I was contacted to pick up my car and informed that they did not replace the front passenger airbag inflator module-they only inspected it. I was informed by the manager that my airbag did not need to be replaced per their records. I asked for a copy of their records, but the manager stated she could not provide me with anything to support that only an inspection of the module was needed-instead of the replacement per the safety recall notice from the Toyota corporation. I showed the manager my copy of the recall notice, but she still maintained that it only needed to be inspected-not replaced. I am concerned that simi valley Toyota dealership is not complying with the safety recall notices properly. I am also concerned that any front passenger in my car could be injured! please advise how to proceed with safety recall.

We received a recall in June 2014 for the front passenger airbag on our 2002 Toyota Sequoia that was announced in April of 2013 by Toyota as being defective(causing serious harm if deflated as metal parts could strike occupants of vehicle). It is now April of 2015 and we have not been notified by Toyota to have this remedied. According to the status on www.Toyota.com/recall their isn't a remedy available. 2 years have passed and this is too long to have a customer wait for a remedy and it is very disappointing to me as I thought highly of Toyota until now and will spread the word to everyone I know if this isn't taken care of soon. We are tired of not being able to have anyone ride in the front passenger seat. Please get on Toyota to do the right thing and fix our vehicle's front passenger airbag.

First of all I live on a island in Hawaii called molokai. Took car into a repair shop and they told me they can't do the repairs cause of liability so I called Toyota, and they said I needed to ship the car to honolulu or maui for repairs. Just to ship my car off the island is going to cost me about $500 round trip. Why can't they send a technician to the island to do the job!!!! it's there responsibility to keep my car as safe as possible. I also talked to other people that owns Toyota's and they are having the same trouble! I also talked to the technician at the shop and they said Honda has a similar problem and Honda sends there technician to the island to do the job why can't Toyota do the same?

Received a recall notice for the airbag. Went to vasser Toyota in Napa, ca. Told they don't have the part at the time. Asked vasser Toyota call me for an appointment when the part was available. Called me for an approx 2 weeks later. Upon completion of the appt was told: 1) they didn't have the recall part so did not perform the recall work. 2) I needed new shocks - I had them replaced 3K miles previously and as a licensed mechanical engineer, knew they didn't need to be replaced.. 3) I needed new windshield wipers - replaced 1 month previously. 4) I needed new tires - replaced with new 40K mile Michelin's 10K miles prior. When challenged, service person back-peddled giving no excuse and said, "I'll have our service manager call you right away." I never received a call, message, letter or any communication explaining away vasser Toyota's protocol to get people to "schedule an appointment for a recall" only to use it as a bait-and-switch to up-sell naive car owners into unnecessary service.
