The contact owns a 2004 Toyota Sequoia. The contact stated that while driving 10 mph making a right turn, the passenger front tie rod broke due to defective material. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure and current mileage was 108,000. Updated 12/12/12 the consumer hit a parked vehicle, after he lost the ability to steer, because the passenger side outer tie rod cracked in half. Updated 12/12/12
