When coming to a complete stop and then releasing the brake to accelerate you feel and hear a clunk from the rear. It feels as if you have been hit from behind from another vehicle. This occurs on a daily basis several times a day. Contacted Toyota in Jan 2010 and told this was normal. I took the matter to management in Feb 2010 and they had me bring the vehicle in. They found the trans support to be faulty and replaced the crossmember, bolts and insulation. Problem continued. Took the vehicle back March 2010 and they said it had an updated cross member and bolt so no repairs were made at that time. Currently still having the problem and waiting for a return phone call back from management to take the vehicle in. I was told each visit that this is a drive train problem and it cannot be fixed and it is something I will need to live with. I am not happy with this answer and I will take this matter further until the issue is resolved. I paid $30,000 for this vehicle. In the past I had a rearend issue with another vehicle and ended up in an attorney's office with them taking the vehicle back and money in my pocket. I really do not want to have to do this again, but if need be I will be contacting my attorney. I have an extended warranty on my vehicle and feel this should be fully replaced with all new parts.
