excessive rusting

Rear trailing arm broke off while driving. This caused rear steering and the vehicle was dangerously out of control. We are the second owners and we bought this Toyota certified. The vehicle has been factory maintained its entire life. We purchased it in 2010, and not once did we hear about this frame rusting issue. Corporate Toyota has denied to help us out even though there was a class action lawsuit and service campaign to fix the issue. Corporate Toyota says they notified us, but it was a piece of mail that was sent to a previous address and we truly never did receive notification from the dealer or from corporate Toyota. This is a very serious and dangerous issue.

excessive rusting

Our 2006 Toyota Sequoia, the frame is rusted out and left us stranded and had to be towed to Toyota of Kingsport, TN. It is not drivable. The dealership will not make a decision as to who should pay for this nor will they fix it without confirmation for payment from Toyota. We need our vehicle and we do not have a courtesy car from them. The Sequoia was purchased new and is fully loaded.

What are our options on this as it was included in the settlement for corrosion. It has been almost a month since this happened and nothing has been done . We are desperate to have this resolved as quickly as possible. Gary has talked to someone and they gave us a case number and referred us to the dealership. The case number is 1612151583. Please let us get this solved very soon.

excessive rusting

I have a 2006 Toyota Sequoia limited, garaged, very well maintained. My mechanic put it up on the lift and showed me how bad the frame is rusted. I called Toyota because I know they replaced some frames on 2001-2004 Sequoias but they told me mine is not covered. It seems like Toyota has a major problem and now doesn't want to stand behind their products. This is the last Toyota that I will own. Please if you have a Sequoia or other Toyota with rust issues file a complaint with the NTSB. IF they get enough complaints Toyota will be forced to take action and replace the frames on their crumby vehicles.

frame rusting out

2006 Toyota Sequoia frame is rusted very bad. It has holes complete in frame rail.

This frame has been made from cheap steel. Toyota has recalled same frame that

is used in truck frame.
