After exiting the vehicle on 3/7/2025, I opened the rear passenger door (driver-??s side) to get my son out of his carseat. I noticed the seatbelt was not attached at the base. In other words, the seatbelt mechanism was not attached to the vehicle. See photos. The black cover which conceals the bolt that holds the seatbelt to the vehicle was also detatched. On 3/10/25 we brought the vehicle to Mechanicsville Toyota and they have requested to keep it overnight. There were no warning lamps or other signs of failure. The seatbelt bolt was not torqued properly at the factory.
