Purchased 2002 Toyota Sienna new. Purchased hess gas in Florida, (ethan within 24 hours check engine light came on. Had checked and reset and eventually came back on gain. Rec'd some estimates an was told it was either oxygen sensor or catalytic conv. Catalytic below threshold hold need to be replaced. Replaced and 3 months out of warranty engine light on again. Check diagnostic and again same code. Had it reset, did no repairs within 9 months light on again. Told it is definitely the catalytic conv. (longest) one; same one recently replaced. Can't understand why this happening again. Is there a problem with the obd or is it really the caty. Or oxygen sensor.. dealership would not even offer any type of discount, they quoted me the same price and I asked, "how could it be the same part"" "could it be done at half cost" was told it was about 1500 parts and labor again.
