The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the window needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The contact began to smell something burning in the area of the door. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection where they stated that the master switch burned out and needed to be replaced. The vehicle repaired. The manufacturer was notified and stated that there were no recalls on her vehicle for the failure. The failure mileage was 92,000.
