We bought this Toyota Sienna XLE brand new thinking that we can keep it for at least 15 years or so. It's mainly used for my HWY commute and family trips. We ALWAYS sent it back to the dealership for regular maintenance (we never missed one). The transmission let us down TWICE. The first time was an oil leak at 58,000 mile and covered by our extended warranty. (Don't mistake we DIDN'T pay for it. We've already paid for the extended warranty.) The second time was at 158,000 miles in the beginning of year 11. It would have cost us $4,000 to fix it. We sold it to Carmax for $3,000. I'd expect Toyota to produce better product than this. Not happy that i have to get another car 3-4 years before my original plan.

a bolt came loose in the transmission and it won't drive. I am so angry. We intended to drive this car at least 70,000 more miles and it randomly quit on us. Warranty at Patt Lobb Toyota expired 6 weeks earlier and there is no help to be found. We took it into a local mechanic for a whirring sound in October but they dismissed it as no concern. Then last week the whirring turned into a knocking and our transmission was kaput.
