Sienna XLE 3.3L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 67,700 miles

So I finish shopping and open the back vents of my Sienna and I hear a loud pop. Luckily I looked back and saw my drivers side vent window start sliding down! I could not put it back into place and did not want to drive with it like that so I unhooked the power leads and the shade, which by the way slowed the window and gave me enough time to save the window from hitting the ground.

I take the car to the dealership and hear "Well, I never saw that before." Well that is just lovely. Looks like I will have to pay over $800 to get this fixed. I have loved my car so far and keep it in excellent condition, even with two kids, so I am extremely unhappy that this happed and is not considered a DEFECT. How else would a window just release itself from a car, really!

Sienna LE 3.3L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 97,500 miles

Rear swing out windows started making a weird noise and stopped opening/closing correctly. I looked at the windows and the exploded view drawings and couldn't figure out how to fix myself. Definitely not paying to fix it as the windows are closed and there are way too many other problems with this van.

Sienna EXL

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,500 miles

After our being VERY persistent, Toyota covered the $1,000 cost of the parts and we covered the labor ($120) to install new rear windows. Adhesive failed to hold the rear windows into place. One had fallen out and was held into place by latch, the other was just about to fall out. Part failure.

The window couldn't be put back into place and just hangs there. I can't open the door on that side because it jams with the window and caused more damage. This better be covered under warranty! It is a pain in the ass because my baby seat is on that side so I have to go inside the car to get her in and out of the car. UGH!!
