The steering of our new leased 2010 Sienna is so stiff that it takes force to hold it and steer with it. Both my husband and I are sick and tired of this issue. It is like getting a workout every time you drive except it becomes a chore to drive rather than a pleasure. We have had 2 Sienna in the past so we know what we are talking about.
We took the vehicle to out dealer, Jack Safro, and had them pump up the tires, do the alignment, check the steering brake fluid and nothing changed. The dealer technician came driving the car with us and of course they claim that there is nothing wrong, which I find amazing. We test drove another Sienna from the dealership and the steering was like butter, not at all what we are experiencing everyday with our car.
We contacted out dealer and they put us in touch with Toyota to start the lemon law process. We called them and they sent us the forms. My huby filled out the forms and put in Priority Mail and, get this, on the very next day we received a letter from Toyota saying that they reviewed our case and it was DENIED. My hubby called the post office to find out if our forms made it there already and they said no, it takes 3 days. So that was a RED FLAG for us. How can they review the case if they did not even have the forms.
We have been calling and leaving messages for our case manager at Toyota, Wendy Lutzow, but she has not called back after 2 days. The worst thing is that I keep hearing the ads on the radio that Toyota cares about their customers, what a crock.
Frankly I never expected this of them. We would probably now have to get a lawyer involved. We cannot go on for 3 more years with this vehicle.
