So my driver side sliding door I noticed has been rubbing on my quarter window, even removed the rubber from it. One day I opened the door and heard a cracking sound, but saw nothing. A few minutes later, my son opens the door again and the sliding door removed the quarter window from its place, fell and of course broke into pieces. The dealer told me it was my fault for having the quarter window open. REALLY!!!

So I searched in the owners manual and still haven't found where it actually tells me that it is not correct to have a quarter window open before operating the sliding door. None of my minivan friends tells me that the window needs to be closed before opening the door. The only thing the book says is, do not put body parts out of the open window when opening the sliding doors. Door jam protection didn't kick in either. The cost for repairs was $824.00. I didn't pay it.

I want to fix it myself, but if the problem is actually the door, it will probably do it again. I need the dealer to verify it.

Automatic rear passenger side door will not close or stay shut, the latch won't work or hold it shut, and the electrical system will not work on the door either. So we had to put the window in the back and in the front down and tie a rope through each window so when we drove to get it fixed the door wouldn't slide open. Also my door latch is broke on the sliding door on the driver side, which happened a month ago, my vehicle isn't even 3 years old yet and things are breaking and electrical problems are popping up. Also said the latch isn't covered under my extended warranty, why the f*k not? It's an important part and I can't drive down the road without a latch holding my sliding door closed because it will slide open and the kids sit back there. Dumb fkers need to get their head out of their asses and fix sht, why the hell did I pay for an extended warranty. If I get a call and get told this damn problem I'm having now is not covered under warranty, someone's going to have a real bad headache.

Sienna LE 3.2L V6

The electric door openers started to make a clicking noise about 6 months after we bought the vehicle. After about 3 years, both door began to open delayed, and occasionally slowly. On a couple of occasions, they failed to open fully, but the problem is not frequent.
