The contact owns a 2011 Toyota Sienna. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown speed, several unknown warnings light illuminated with a beeping sound. The vehicle was taken to the voss Toyota (2110 heller dr, beavercreek, oh 45434, (937) 431-2100), where a technician test drove the vehicle however, was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired at the same dealer under NHTSA campaign numbers: 16V858000 (structure) and 16V340000 (air bags) and prior to the repairs the vehicle had not experienced a failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 161,000.

The occupant sensing system does not recognize that someone (full grown adult) is sitting in the passenger seat. This problem is identical to a previous recall (NHTSA campaign # 13V014000) Toyota says they do not have to fix it under the recall. Perhaps the recall does not cover all of the vins impacted.

Takata recall westbury Toyota has a 2011 Sienna le in silver on sale on their lot. I addressed them via email about my concerns on recalls specifically the takata airbag recall. When I entered the VIN on the nhysa website it showed one recall 1/9/2019 for airbag but no official recall number assigned to it yet. As soon as I emailed them back at night around 9 pm I noticed the recall notice had disappeared. The carfax also shows 1/24/2019 that manufacture maintenance was conducted. So all of a sudden at 9:30 pm they magically fixed the airbags!? I'm worried about the legitimacy of the fix they conducted and afraid someone might get injured should they buy this vehicle. Please investigate or reach out to them.

"takata recall" NHTSA reference id 16V340 the Sienna VIN (xxx) is actually in switzerland. I've been told by the workshop standard procedure is that Toyota usa has to direct Toyota switzerland to do this repair. Many Siennas in the country have been updated this way. Til today, I have not received any notification to proceed and bring my Sienna to the swiss dealership for this purpose. In addition, the two other recalls; >safety recall G04 - remedy notice certain 2011 - 2016 model year Sienna vehicles power sliding door_nhtsa reference id16V858 and, >safety (non-compliance) recall B0N - customer notification phase 2011 and certain early 2012 my Sienna vehicles - tire and loading info placard and owner's manual update sent to owners. Assist customer if requested.NHTSA reference id 11V560, are pending. Takata recall we took the car to the Toyota dealer in katy in mid February 2018 to solve the air bag recall and power doors. They said the do not have the parts; we have go back twice but they say they still do not have them. Now almost 3 months later they have not done anything about it. We had not have any accident but we do not feel safe when driving the car.

The contact owns a 2011 Toyota Sienna. While driving between 30-35 mph, the contact's vehicle was struck by another vehicle on the passenger side. The air bags failed to deploy. The contact and her fourteen year old daughter were injured as a result of the crash. The contact was driving and her daughter was seated on the passenger side. The occupants were injured and the fourteen year old passenger was taken to the hospital. A police report was filed. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The contact stated that she recently had the air bags repaired per NHTSA campaign number: 16V340000 (air bags). The autonation Toyota cerritos dealer (18700 studebaker rd, cerritos, ca) was notified of the failure and were currently repairing the vehicle. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 97,000.

I was driving my Toyota Sienna 2011(us 22W allentown pa highway) when suddenly my vehicle was hit hardly by a Chevy SUV, then I hit laterally the wall dividing the highway, lately hit a aluminium fence. I was admitted at lehigh valley health network, cedar crest hospital with hits all over my body, especially, an open-wound trauma in my forehead. I started having recurrent headaches, painful back and neck accompany of swelling, numbness and cramps in my right limb. I was attending physical therapies, still I am taking medications by relief recurrent migraines, back and neck pain provoked by the whiplash syndrome long-term injuries. When checking on the vehicle was very noticeable that none of air-bags was opened. Because of this situation my injuries were worst.

When I just called boch Toyota South to schedule the recall and replace my airbags, the customer service representative said that the airbag recall is vehicle specific and my mini van is not on their recall list, therefore I cannot get the safer airbags installed. The contact owns a 2011 Toyota Sienna. While making a right turn, the contact heard an abnormal popping sound and the air bag warning indicator illuminated. When the contact attempted to turn the steering wheel left, it was manual/stiff and the horn failed. The vehicle was driven to the local dealer (fred anderson Toyota of sanford, 3321 nc hwy 87 S, sanford, nc, 27332) where it was diagnosed that the steering spiral cable assembly failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired because the parts had to be ordered. The manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: 1710102139. The manufacturer stated that only Canada was included in a recall for the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 115,000.
