Sienna Limited 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 126,000 miles

For the intermittent wiper setting to function on the 2012 Sienna Limited trim level, the windshield sensor must sense rain on the windshield, in the "Auto" setting. Otherwise, you have to use the "Low"setting, or turn the wiper on and off manually. The intermittent function is important anywhere in the Pacific Northwest, as the "low" setting is still too fast, and ends up wiping a dry windshield when rain is just drizzling. I bought the car used, but Beaverton Toyota is going to fix the problem with a new part. However, the car is only 9 years old and only has 126,000 miles on it. For a Toyota, that's a reliability issue. You EXPECT everything to work on their products. I'm just wondering how many other 3rd generation Sienna owners had this same problem.
