The sounds are faint, but definitely coming from the motors for the automatic doors. There is a clicking sound at stopping, starting and going over bumps.

Bought a brand new Sienna from the dealer. 40k. Within two years of normal use, passenger side door makes loud creaking popping ear breaking noise whenever it's opened, and the two sliding van doors opening to the backseat are supposed to be automatic when you lightly pull the handle but 3/5 times it will stick mid way and sound out a loud alarm then refuse to shut automatically and require a huge amount of pushing and shoving to close it, just to try it all over again with fingers crossed that people will be able to exit the vehicle. Dealer refused to replace anything going wrong after 1 year. This van is so cheaply made its disgusting. Costs thousands to fix. About, avoid, avoid.

Dealer and research shows this is a common problem with this model of Sienna. Door roller hinge bearings go out requiring a push while automatic door is almost closed or door will open again. Most common is driver side sliding door, our was on passenger side as this is the one most commonly used for school drop off. Guess we have the driver side to look forward too but I can fix this one myself. If ordering part for self fix, part will need to be painted.
