Sometimes feel knocking or clunking when you turn the steering wheel right or left. It is a somewhat scary feeling that you think the steering could fail. Since it feels like some piece of metal may brake it is concerning. I am waiting until it more consistent then take it to the dealer. I don't want to pay for a diagnosis and they say they can't find anything. It seem from others on this forum I am not alone with this type of issue.

Every time I turn the steering wheel, It sounds like one of the bolts in the universal joint is lose... I took it to a Toyota Deal and they could not identify the problem, they checked steering wheel, the joints, bolts, screws, they also checked the suspension... and NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. The Dealer heard the noise, they knew there was noise... They said when it gets worst, and need to come back again so they can double check.
