Sienna SE V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 45 miles

I bought my van at Hayward CA- I have complaint about the steering-wheel not centered, tires are wearing out, this started day two on the van, the dealers give me basic reason, that wheel is not center and alignment is off because of the pot-holes or maybe my driving is ruff, at 20k all four tires worn out. I never had an issue with Honda Odyssey van,

I will have to get new tires and my van is part-time car and have only 20k miles.

These tires from Firestone got uneven thread wear and almost gone bald at 22000 miles. Neither Toyota nor Firestone take responsibility for this problem. Even on my old cars I nevere changed tires before 40,000 Miles. Toyota needs to recall thease tires immediately. Sefety hazard since these type of minivans are meant for the family and long trips.

Sienna Sport

My Sienna was only a year old with 35,000 miles on it. I faithfully brought the car in every 5,000 miles for tire rotation, and Toyota's maintenance schedule. Purchased the car in April 2012, May 2013 as I was driving the tire light came on. I immediately pulled into the closest tire store. When I got out of the car the tire was flat. I thought it was just a nail hole. I was wrong. The service man at the store would not let me leave even with the spare on it. ALL FOUR tires were shoot! He took me under the car to look at it and you could see nothing but threads spiking out of all the tires. I am lucky that I did not have a blow out at a high speed.

I had it towed to Toyota. After arguing with them that I just had my car inspection done, I did all the service recommendations and there was nothing wrong with the tires when they inspected them 3 weeks prior. There is NO REASON why all FOUR tires should be bad. So they blamed it on an alignment. But they covered the cost of the tires. Took them 2 months to cover cost and me not backing down from my argument.

Not AGAIN!!! Yes, this is the second go around with my tires! My car is less than 2 years old. Already replaced all 4 tires and now on my (counting the originals) third set of tires... Well, I only need to replace the back tires at this time! It has been only 28,000 miles since I got all 4 new tires. What the hell!

So this time Toyota has been no help at all. The service guys would not even call the tire company, Dunlap tires, to see what they would cover under warranty. Toyota were very unhelpful! They told me to call. They were saying that I probably needed an alignment. I asked if they could tell if I need one. The service guys response was, "We can not tell until we go to do it." So let me see, I have to pay for an alignment just to see if I need one??? What?!

After going there 2 days in a row because now my car shakes at 60 mph, they did not do anything. I ended up at Sears, where I saved more money on the tires. They also had an alignment machine that could tell me if I needed an alignment without actually having to do one and guess what! As bad as the tires are,, I do not need an alignment. So what the hell?

Toyota is going to blame it on the fact that I did not get a rotation within the 5000 miles. Well let me tell you Toyota, the first 30,000 miles I faithfully got my tires rotated every 5000 and ended up having to replace all 4 tires! At least this time I only have to change 2 tires. Toyota has lost a customer today!

2012 Toyota Sieena Sport van, started having to put air into the front tires weekly, couldn't see that they were balding on the inside. took the van to the tire shop and they recommended the front tires be changed immediately. The back tire had limited time left. These tires cost over $1000. Yiikes, ...I couldn't understand why these tires wore out so quick. Now I see that this is a problem for Sienna's since at least 2010. I also noticed that this is a problem regardless the brand of tires. Toyota, it's time own up to a design problem. I am thankful these tires did not blow while we were on the interstate going 70mph.
