Power sliding rear doors opened while driving, problems with sliding doors locking mechansim on both sides, front and the rear locks

I had sever car accident while I am 7 months pregnant including my 5 years old sons. During the accident my airbag was not deployed which lead me hematoma in my uterus. That car is totally losses and the accident was severe.Thank God we put the sit belt and even if the frontdash board hit me bad. I will attach all the details of the accident and the police report. We tried to submit our complaint to Toyota and they refused to help.As if the air bug should not supposed to deploy with that kind of severe accident they say they don-??t use this information.

My 2013 Toyota Sienna had two recalls, which are Power Sliding Do0r and Front Passenger Airbag inflator. My vehicle has been inspected and fixed. However, my recall status of the vechicle has not been updated, and continuously receive notice from Dealer and NHTSA.

When traveling around 30 to 35 mph (well under speed limit) on dry clear roads, on left turns (often slightly downhill) suddenly the vsc and slip/trac lights up, the ABS system is activated / brakes engage. Foot is not on the brake and speeds are not excessive. I am not using run-flat tires, but that doesn't seem to make a difference for others online. I see dozens of similar complaints online about this same thing from 2001 to 2015 Siennas. Two say that replacing rack & pinion fixed it; 1 says it does not. This started happening about 3 months ago, but is now happening more often. Approx 156K miles. Other fixes that have not worked: Replace front speed sensors, changed all pads and rotors, and replacing the steering angle sensor. None of those worked. On person says, "most common prob seems to be the rack bushing where the rack is mounted. They wear out and cause the rack to move when turning...bushings are hard to replace so just replace the rack and it will solve the problem if it is loose. ( although its a bit expensive) the yaw sensor or steering sensor has also been the culprit in some cases." Another says, "steering linkages could be another culprit - control arm bushings were severely worn and could potentially be another source. Alignment and zero-point calibration sometimes help, but not for long." I don't feel safe driving myself or my children in this car, but can't afford another. And can't afford a $1K fix - especially if others have this issue. What can I do?

Tires tread life runs really fast, usually between 20 - 30,000 miles which is not normal. This was happening not just to me, but also most of the Sienna owner that had complained online.

Goodyear assurance tire size 235 60 R17 number for recall and M7jj F1R 5116 tire has what they call a seam manufacturers defect jim norton Toyota wouldn't warranty it even with an extended warranty on my vehicle but they said it has 4/32 left on it but they would it if they were me not to mention that the outer walls of the tire where the tread is were wearing but not the middle and I'll only have the vehicle for like a year

The passenger side cable attached to the sliding door has stripped, causing an internal jam, disallowing the door from closing fully. Even manually closing the doors does not work, and the door is open roughly 60% of the way. The van is still able to drive with the door open.

Very abnormal wear on new tires that can cause accidents. I have had this van for 13 months and I'm on my 3rd set of new tires. Alignment and rotations every 5 K. this is not a tire defect but a flaw in the design of the vehicle. If you do a google search about tire wear on the Sienna, there are 100's of forums of people complaining about this. Please have Toyota address this design flaw problem and find a solution. We experienced a very cold arctic blase in early January 2018. The van was in our garage. When I tried to oped the left hand rear sliding door, it would not open. After a second attempt, it did open but then reversed. Eventually, it would not close and latch, so we did not drive it that day. I had to slam it shut in order for the interior lights to so out so not to run down the battery. I did drive it a few days later, and the door came open when I made a right hand turn. When I would stop, it shut, but did not latch. I set up an appointment with the dealer I bought the vehicle from after explaining the problem and they said they would order the parts for the recall repair. Later that day, dealer said there was also a problem with the closing motor and that was not covered by the recall repair. It only covered the wiring harness and junction box. I got a ride from work to the dealer and they offered me a loaner while they did more evaluations of the problem. Later the next day, I was told the repairs would cost $1300 and would not be covered under the recall. I felt that the failure of the cables and the fuse being overloaded probably contributed to the motor failing. I then told them just to disable the power function and we would just open and close manually because I could not afford that repair at this time. Later that day. The service adviser left me a voice mail that they could not make the repair nor repair the latch and the vehicle was ready for me to pick up. I call back on Saturday morning to speak to service manager, but he was off. I called back on Monday, but had to leave a voice message. I am very concerned that even if I could afford the repair this time, it will probably happen to the other door at some point as well. There seems to be quite a history of this problem going back several years and it's more of a design issue.

1. faulty tk airbags - I got a notice over mail about it. 2. my side door opened during driving, I then found out there is a recall for sliding power doors (electric issue) - I contacted local Toyota dealership, but they said they cannot handle it in the next 5 months as they have no parts.

I received a letter stating that there was a recall on my cars sliding door mechanism. Recall number 16V-858. I called handy Toyota in St. Albans vt to have the recall remedied. I was told the parts would be ordered and they should arrive in about 4 days and I would receive a phone call when the parts arrived. One week later I still had not received a phone call, I called the service department and was told the parts were not in yet in and they would call Toyota dealer to see where the parts were. I was told I would be called the following Monday. Another week had passed and no phone call. I called handy Toyota today 11-2-2017 and spoke to jamie in the parts department. He told me I was not in there system, only for a car I had purchased there 9 years ago. He informed me that the part had never been ordered. In order to get the part needed he would need my VIN number to get the correct parts. The people I had previously spoken with never asked me for a VIN number and both people had assured me the parts had been ordered. Jamie has assured me that he has ordered the parts and they should arrive in about 4 days. The service I received was non existent. It seems that the first 2 people I spoke with were either very poorly trained or simply untruthful.

The side glass on my 2013 Toyota Sienna van was broken out by a rock, while my wife was driving on the freeway, the glass literally exploded throwing chips of glass everywhere in the vehicle. If one of my grandsons or a person had been setting in one of the back seats they would have been seriously injured!!! the side glass on these vehicles need to be safety glass so this would never happen, it wouldn't shatter like that and seriously hurt someone. I did contact Toyota customer service and they said that it was safety glass and it was made to brake into pieces, I told them that they needed to make the glass like the front windshield with a layer of safety plastic in the middle and they said thats the way it is and its all that is required of them to have.

The power sliding doors would not open by pushing the button. The power button was in the on position. In order to open the door we had to try it manually and when that was done the cable broke. The following week the other power sliding door cable broke as well. After the cable broke you could not even open the door manually with the power button in the off position. This is a safety issue as to if a child or person was in that seat and would be unable to get out in the case of an emergency. The vehicle was in a stationary position when this happened. Now the one door will become unlodged and open while driving down the highway. I do know that there is a safety recall on that portion of it but I believe that the cables for the power doors should be included because I do believe that they are a cause to this.

On November 22, 2016, a recall was announced for the sliding door operations. We then disabled the door operations pursuant to the recall notice and had the dealer likewise further disable the door operation. More than 7 months later, there is no remedy and the door motor still runs when closing the door which, seemingly, is part of the problem so our steps coupled with the steps of the dealer, leave us in no better of a place with doors and a hatch that require manual closing which is very heard from my children.

Smelled burning or smoldering inside of vehicle while driving. After stopping to inspect, noticed that a wire for sliding electric door was just hanging (drivers side exterior of rear quarter panel). The wire was burned and was just hanging there. The electric sliding door would not work afterwards. Took siena to Toyota dealership and was advised that there is some type of warranty affecting the doors but they didn't know what it involved. They advised no further information was available. Toyota did not advise of any known dangers known to them if any.
