This is the 5th Sienna (including 2 Previas) that I've owned and they have been extremely reliable with no serious or potentially serious problems. The "clunking" noise and feel in the steering at 98K miles has been diagnosed as originating from one of the two U-joints on the Intermediate Steering Shaft.
POTENTIAL AND REPEATED FAILURE (OBVIOUS FROM A LITTLE RESEARCH) OF A CRITICAL STEERING COMPONENT SHOULD BE A CLEAR WARNING TO TOYOTA THAT IT SHOULD BE A RECALL ITEM. ANYTHING LESS IS POTENTIALLY CRIMINAL!
