Light on cruise control stalk flickers. Extremely distracting while driving at night. Toyota tried to fix it by replacing the cruise control stalk. This did not work.

Light on cruise control stalk flickering. Technician found that this was related to an intermittent high resistance connection and found a voltage drop of 9 volts in the wiring in the steering column. Steering column was replaced. This seemed to work, but flickering returned 1800 miles later.
