The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Sienna. The contact stated that while getting his child from the rear passenger sliding door without warning the sliding door closed on the childs right hand. The child was taken to the hospital to treat the injuries. The vehicle had not been repaired or diagnosed. No dealer was contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided the contact with a case number. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
