Sienna XLE 2.5L Hybrid

  • CVT transmission
  • 22,200 miles

I got in the vehicle to start it, and everything was off. No lights, chimes, typical greetings, the van was totally dark & dead. I called the local Toyota Dealer where we bought it and they advised me to jump the vehicle. I found the instruction in the manual and was able to attach it to my battery charger/jumper and after charging it for a while was able to get it to start.

The next morning my wife called and it was dead again. Ended up getting it towed to the dealership (which created separate issues). They said the 12 volt starting battery was not maintaining a charge so they put in a new one under warranty. Note there are two battery's in the car, the Hybrid 650 volt battery, it powers the drive motors, and a typical 12 volt car battery which is used to start the vehicle.
