Solara SE 4 cyl

My dash cracked from one side to the other. This is a well maintained car and I feel Toyota should be responsible for fixing this issue. It also has places that has melted.

Solara ES 2.0L 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 85,000 miles

I saved my money to buy a Toyota because I thought they were a good automobile and I could trust them to do the right thing if something happened. Well something happened and I don't know were to turn to get my problem fixed. My 2006 Toyota Solar has been my baby since 2006. I just love my car and have taken good care of it and not put many miles on it. Last year I started noticing the dash was cracking a little then it got worse and worse. Until now it looks terrible! All I want is my dash fixed so I can be proud of my car again !!

Solara SLE Convertible 3.3L V6

I RECEIVED THE WARRANTY ENHANCEMENT NOTIFICATION - ZE6 SEVERAL MONTHS AGO REGARDING CRACKING &/OR STICKY/MELTING DASHBOARDS TO HAVE REPLACED FOR FREE BY OUR TOYOTA DEALERSHIP. I THEN WENT TO MY DEALERSHIP & WAS TOLD THE PART ISN'T IN & THEY WOULD MAIL ME A LETTER NOTIFYING ME WHEN THE DASHBOARD PART/S COME IN. WELL, I NEVER GOT A LETTER & MY DASHBOARD IS INCREASINGLY CRACKING MORE & BECOMING UNSIGHTLY & UGLY. WOULD SOMEONE OUT THERE HELP ME GET MY DASHBOARD REPLACED? MY VIN IS 4T1FA38P26U098598 ON MY 2006 TOYOTA SOLARA CONVERTIBLE.

THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIPS SHOULD REALLY BE MORE EFFICIENT WITH THEIR CUSTOMERS IN REPLACING THESE DASHBOARDS. THE NEXT THING THEY WILL SAY IS THE OFFER EXPIRED MAY 31, 2017 WHICH HAS ALREADY PASSED. BUT TOYOTA NEVER GOT THE PART?????? AND MY 2006 TOYOTA CONVERTIBLE DASHBOARD IS GETTING MUCH WORSE.

IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE THAT CAN TRULY HELP? I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY ASSISTANCE. THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ MY CONCERNS.

Solara SLE

  • Automatic transmission
  • 51,000 miles

I noticed a crack across the top oft he dashboard that runs from the radio to the left edge of the dashboard. Toyota issued a extended warranty fro this issue but it expired on May 31, 2107. I called Toyota and went to the local dealership and both refused to fix the problem. They stated the warranty expired and I was out of the allowed repair period.

How can they admit there is a problem, and offer to fix a problem, yet refuse to fix the very problem they admitted to. They claim they sent a letter but I never received anything from Toyota over the past several years except offers to come in and trade in our car or buy a new one.
